Fortunes Rocks Association (FRA) was incorporated in 1949, and currently represents 125 families in Fortunes Rocks, Granite Point, Mile Stretch, and Biddeford Pool.
FRA has been a good steward of the land, and its members have improved the grounds, cherished its natural beauty, and preserved it by not interfering with the natural vegetation around the pond. For over 70 years, FRA also contributed to community events by serving as a station for runners in public races, for cyclists in community bike races, for volunteers in Earth Day cleanups, for local artists to exhibit at art shows, for local musicians to perform at music events, and community members to sell at yard sales.
Fortunes Rocks Association adds to the desirability of real estate in the neighborhood, incrementally adding to property values of homes in the FRA zone, and in turn, increasing real estate tax revenues to the city. One of the most significant benefits of the association to its members is the parking for approximately 30 vehicles, thereby reducing the public parking load at Fortunes Rocks Beach.
